The Singing News
The Chosen Few is a Southern Gospel group based out of Gospel Way Baptist Church of Cherryville, NC. In 1976, Kenneth Lindsay organized the group with his brother, Alan Lindsay, and other singers out of the local church they were attending. Over the years, there have been several individuals that have contributed greatly to the success of the group: Horace Hudson, Larry Whitesides, Harold Simpson, and Danny McFarland to name a few. Currently, the group consists of a new generation with Jonathan Lindsay singing and playing bass and Joshua Lindsay playing mandolin and guitar. Also, the group still has its founder, Kenneth Lindsay, along with his son, Kyeth Lindsay (who is the pastor of Gospel Way Baptist Church) singing and playing keyboards.
